L0029 Print Satin Deep V-neck Evening Prom Cocktail Dress

THE BELL OF THE BALL,
This dress is A-MA-ZING.
I got so many compliments wearing this to a Film Premiere – from all races, ages and types of ladies ..
I was surprised because I really didn’t know how I looked ..
One had me turn around in circles to get the full view.
Another even glared at me – which might be a type of compliment (jealousy?)
THE EXCELLENT PARTS :
– silk
– amazing feel
– FULL LENGTH RED SLIP inside !!!! It extends the length of the dress, from the floor on up to even lining the chest cup area. This red silk inner lining is just so heavenly a feel – and keeps you very, very warm on cool of nights as it doesn’t breath. No shawl with this little beautiful dress. The red silkiness peaks out when you walk – or sit and cross your legs. Same color as belt..
– SNOWFLAKE PIN IS REMOVABLE ! An extra plus in my books; that pin in the picture around the belly button comes-off easily (normal pin), and in my opinion leaves the dress looking heavenly w/o it. Once removed, it leaves no holes in the red belt part. You can use it on your jacket or just leave it at home.
– gorgeous sheen to it
– the modern, casual design on a silk pattern is flattering, and very hip
THE TOUGH PARTS :
– TIGHT for curvy people
– VERY VERY LONG
-> I am 5’2″ and 34B x 28 x 38 .. purchased Size 6
– it juuust fit; sitting was difficult but doable
– the dress was 4 inches too long EVEN when I wore 4″ high shoes – !!! I personally didn’t want to pay for tailoring. So I pulled the section of the dress on the left up to the waist, draping it up that is, and used safety pins from underneath to hold it in place (right at the waist). Then I draped the material across the front and pinned the right side (again from underneath with safety pins) about 1 foot up from the floor. It looked like a silk draping on the front and people were going crazy at the party from my design – they thought the dress came that way! And yes the safety pins held (though I’m not sure what the dry cleaner is going to think). The easier but more costly approach is to get it tailored. The chest area as well had to be taken-in on both sides by a pinch with safety pins for my 34B size.
If you’re anywhere near my dimensions, especially height, and don’t want to do what I did above you will need to get this tailored.
So be aware – as of course tailoring would add more cost for us shorter, shapelier (or even taller shapelier) people who want this dress .. READ THE SIZING CHART.
In my opinion it is worth it – this silky dream is very flattering. Mom couldn’t believe the price for the style and material.
Another warning though – if you decide to return this or any dress for PROM 21 you will have to pay 15% of the cost of the dress and the return shipment. That is to say they give you no return labels, and will only refund 85% of what you paid for the dress (tax not included).
Hopefully this company will get with the times and change this policy; my reasoning is that they’re coming from the fact that so many people buy these dresses, wear them, and then return them used. The explanation they gave me for this fee was that it was to clean the dress for the next purchaser. The other dress of theirs that I did return (not this one) was in mint condition; I only tried it once.. In spite of the one-try deal, and having to pay to ship it back, I still had to acquiesce to their 15% deduction on that returned dress. That means I only received back 85% of the cost of what I paid for on that dress – not including the tax and shipping fees to get it, and then the shipment fees I had to pay to ship it back. OUCH. PROM 21 actually has other dresses that are worth this 15% hazard such as this one. Just be careful regarding the sizes and be aware if you’re willing to tailor it; make sure you read the reviews (if there are any) and are ready to pay the return shipping costs PLUS 15% of your dress if you don’t like it. It really is one – amazing – dress.
